Hormone therapy, where it fits

Because estrogen is part of what governs fat distribution and insulin sensitivity, hormone therapy can be part of the metabolic picture for the right woman: not a weight-loss drug, but a way to address one of the upstream drivers. GLP-1 medications: the honest version

Behind the headlines, GLP-1 medications work by mimicking a natural gut hormone that slows digestion and quiets appetite signaling, so they can genuinely help when the metabolic shift has outrun diet and exercise alone. But they’re a tool, not a personality, and not the whole answer. Used carelessly they can cost you muscle along with fat, which is the last thing a menopausal body needs.
